Glimpses

Glimpses of Heaven in a church's face
In the echoes of laughter and unceasing chatter in congregational expression
Here I sit in a chair drinking it all that surrounds me.

A room filled with heartwarming glances and gentle embraces
There may I linger and breathe it all in
Knowing for a moment that Heaven is nearby me and hemming me in.

A body of Christ with its many facets and multiple parts
All stepping in a march of all marches
Ever forward for one lovely attainable goal...
Because of our Lord Jesus so we go to our Heavenly fold.

Glimpses of glimpses… hearers of the rejoicing… echoes of what awaits us in breathtaking glory.

The church is a wonderful place to be for me when I want to feel Heaven's embrace all around me.
